Grim Dawn is beautiful |
Grim Dawn, admittedly, may not have the most awesome story... but, meh, at least there is one. There are lots of quests and side quests as well. And, of course, tons and tons of LOOT! The game world is also quite large, and not randomized, at least in most areas, which I love, BTW. I hate it when the overworld is procedurally generated like in Diablo. I like to learn a map, it makes me feel as though I am growing as a player. Not, there is a bit of randomness here, an overturned cart or boulders may block different paths, forcing you to try another route, but the overall map stays the same.

Now, the game is awesome but, of course, there are some downsides. The bosses feel like simple damage sponges that hit really hard. I mean, there are very few bosses that have fun or interesting mechanics. Also, you need to farm a bit too much before your character seems even viable. Also, some balancing issues here or there.
Grim Dawn features lots of areas to explore |
Oh yeah, and they are releasing the mod tools soon (as of this writing). So there's gonna be a lot of community mods to help extend the game's life even further! If I were a reviewer this game would get at least a 9 out of 10.
